Human freedom has really progressed so much since those days when a lot of people were still considered as slaves that can be bought and sold. Since then, we have already received so much freedom that one may wonder where some of the shouting voices are still coming from.
For others, we are still not free. We are still experiencing a lot of problems, and we are still some curtailed of some rights that, according to them, are rightfully ours. For others, it is the right of any person to go nude publicly or privately whenever he/she wants to. In a lot of places, especially in conservative Asia, this still remains to be a taboo and a controversial issue. In some places, however, like that in Europe, this is well-encouraged and even sanctioned in some places called nudist beaches. It really differs from region to region depending on the culture prevalent there.
In Europe, these kinds of beaches are already ubiquitous. People of all backgrounds and ages do come here to be free and pop into the naturism movement. In other locations, nudism is technically illegal but are still tolerated. For example, in the Philippines, there are a lot of private islands where a lot of people go nude even though legally speaking it is not tolerated. It has become some sort of open secrets among the people in the provinces. The natives are already used to it.
Americans may find that these kinds of beaches are not their type and are better reserved for the liberal Europeans. This is perhaps evidenced when Bradley Cooper himself, back when he was still the host of Global Trekkers (a Discovery Channel show), where he was forced to strip down in a nudist beach in Croatia. I'm sure that that was a very difficult thing to do.
Well, whatever your philosophy about clothing is, you cannot deny that going to a nudist beach is one of those little experiences that you have to have at least once in your lifetime.
